Simona Jellinek and Ivanna Iwasykiw, of Jellinek Ellis Gluckstein Lawyers had the opportunity to participate in a series of Town Halls, focused on the 60's Scoop and other childhood abuse.
Their visits to St. Johns, GooseBay and Northwest River provided them with the chance to meet many members of the local indigenous communities, 60's scoop survivors and individuals involved with organizations that support survivors.
We are so grateful to have been afforded these opportunities to assist survivors with answering questions, providing information, discussing civil remedy options and outlining resources available.
Thank you to Selina Legge for her support in hosting these sessions and introducing us to so many wonderful survivors and to Jacinda Adams who was available as needed for on-site counselling.
