Fees
When you or a loved one has been seriously hurt, you may feel overwhelmed by everything that comes with a life-altering injury. Thinking about how you’re going to be able to afford access to justice is one worry you can do without.
What are contingency fees?
We only get paid, if you get paid.
At Gluckstein Lawyers, we work on a contingency basis. That means we are only paid when you are paid. We will never charge you any upfront fee or other expense to pursue your case unless you have explicitly agreed to such an arrangement.
Some personal injury law firms will only take your case for a flat fee, regardless of the outcome of your case or how much work they put into representing you.
How can we risk not accepting any form of prior payment if payment is not guaranteed? Simple. When we take on a client, we are confident we will be able to get them results.
Whether it’s accessing benefits from an insurance company, coming to a mutually agreeable settlement between you and the defendant, or pursuing your case at trial, Gluckstein Lawyers are intent on getting you the compensation you deserve.
Contact us for a free, no obligation consultation.
During your no obligation, free consultation, we will explain our contingency fee structure. Our sliding scale is based on the amount of work or expense we anticipate in your case.
For many personal injury cases, such as motor vehicle claims or injuries occurring on premises, our retainer agreements will typically indicate a maximum fee of 33% to be charged against the total amount of compensation and costs that we recover for you by settlement or judgment. However, a lower fee may be charged, between 25% and 30%, if warranted by your unique circumstances, the stage at which the case is concluded, and other factors.
Remember, your ability to pay your lawyer should not depend on your own finances if you or a loved one suffers a tragic injury - it should depend on whether your lawyer gets results for you.
Our team of personal injury lawyers in Toronto, Ottawa, Niagara, and Barrie serve clients across Ontario and are here to work with you.
Tell us about your accident or injury. We can help.
