Yesterday Helen Valentine and I attended the Flemming Fitness Golf Tournament, an annual event in support of the Brain Injury Association of the Ottawa Valley ["BIAOV"]. We are proud to be part of a firm that was one of the sponsors of this great event. Although it was not the warmest or sunniest day of the year, dozens of golfers took the opportunity to hit the links instead of the office for charity. This year over $17,000 was raised for the BIAOV. For more information on what they do, click here. <Hyperlink: http://www.biaov.org/> Allison Woyiwada, last year's keynote speaker at Ottawa's annual Brain Injury Awareness Day and co-author of 'Allison's Brain,' was in attendance and a brief video of her amazing recovery through music therapy was shown. Allison is a well-known music teacher in Ottawa whose recovery following brain surgery is an inspiration. Former CFL great and sports commentator Ken Evaire was our hilarious host for the evening. A huge thank you must be given to Pat Flemming of Flemming Fitness and his team. They have created a successful annual event that that is a pleasure to attend and has raised a lot of money for a great cause!
