"It's not the destination, it's the journey that matters" has never been truer than when it comes to car safety. There are a few, but not many. If a job requires you to be in and out of a vehicle frequently while on the road, certain rule exemptions may exist. This mainly applies to medical personal, first responders, and mail couriers. Buses and large commercial vehicles may also be exempt. Everyone else may face fines if caught not wearing a seatbelt, in addition to an increased risk of injury. If you are pregnant, you are still required to wear a seatbelt. If you are using a taxi, you are also required to wear a seatbelt, as well as provide child seats if traveling with children. Uber recommends that you follow the local laws when using their services. Checking for Injuries Seatbelts are meant to reduce the risk of severe injuries during a car collision. They may not be able to prevent all injuries, such as a heavy impact blow to the head.
