Over 10,000 helmets have been distributed in Ontario since Helmets for Kids was started in 2002 by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
At each information session, the Jell-O brain steals the show. Who can resist poking gooey slimy candy? Another head turner was the egg helmet. Yes, a helmet for eggs. One by one kids would throw the egg on the ground and lo and behold - it never broke! Sensing" our" hardboiled suspicions," the helmet was taken off, the" egg was dropped, and the" metaphoric" splat" was imprinted upon all of us." Several tiny" jaws dropped and" eyes widened as the importance of helmets" really sunk in.
