Trauma Nursing Conference 2011

Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers LLP was a proud Platinum Sponsor of the annual Trauma Nursing Conference 2011.

The conference was presented by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Over 250 delegates attended the conference this year. The event took place at the Delta Toronto East Hotel on Wednesday February 9, 2011.

This year's conference shared lessons learned concerning:

• past pediatric care;
• changes in burn treatment;
• preventing youth trauma;
• clinical updates and blood volumes during trauma resuscitation;
• results of trauma case studies.

Dr. Fred Brenneman, Trauma & General Surgeon, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Joanne Banfield, RN, Manager, RBC First Office for Injury Prevention started the day off. Other speakers throughout the day included neurosurgeons, trauma services specialists, emergency physicians, burn specialists and critical care medicine specialists, from Sunnybrook and other well-known hospitals.

Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers LLP had a very exciting and entertaining booth that certainly drew its fair share of attention! Visitors to our booth were thrilled with our prize wheel and enjoyed the prizes and giveaways! Overall the 2011 Trauma Nursing Conference was a success and was well-attended by several hospital affiliations.
